Philippe Bretelle was born in Lille (France) in 1962. A freelance graphic designer since 15 years almost, he was highly influenced by the pure forms of Swiss and Dutch schools. In parallel with his professional life, he has managed to preserve his space of artistic autonomy. He finds inspiration in the everyday objects of fetish (vinyl discs, flags, bills…) or childhood toys (miniature cyclists, Lego bricks, etc.) and turns their meaning around.
